ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Jackson Avenue Elementary School students in Hackensack now will be receiving weekend snack packs from the Center for Food Action of Englewood.
Students had their first delivery of 500 snack packs Thursday, making Jackson the seventh area school working with the center to provide weekend food to kids who are hungry.
Diane Montalto and her Hearts for Hunger Program has raised the money to make this possible.
The mission of the Center for Food Action is to prevent hunger and homelessness and improve the lives of individuals and families living in poverty. For more information, click here.
