In the movie, "an old man makes a long journey by lawn-mover tractor to mend his relationship with an ill brother," according to IMDB.

"All adults of the community are invited to come watch the David Lynch film, starring Richard Farnsworth and Sissy Spacek, and discover its connection to the themes of the High Holy Days season," said Alissa Latner, the temple's publicity chair.

A discussion will follow the movie, which is rated G.

There also will be Selichot prayers by candlelight with blowing of the shofar to conclude the evening, Latner said.

Dessert will be served.
