Jumper Takes Fatal Leap From Rockefeller Lookout (Developing)

A person died after jumping from Rockefeller Lookout along the Palisades Interstate Parkway overnight, Daily Voice has learned.

Emergency responders confirmed the individual jumped sometime before midnight Saturday, March 15 and was later confirmed deceased. A rappel team comprised of multiple Bergen County fire departments responded.

Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity. The last reported incident at this location happened in November 2024, when a 19-year-old Edgewater resident died similarly.
