Tenafly Nature Center environmental educators will lead small groups of all ages on the trails to meet the forest folk. Tours depart every 15 minutes between 4 and 6:15 p.m.

Arrive early when it's still light and meet several live forest creatures. Last year's creatures included a fox, flying squirrels and a porcupine. Come after dark and learn how animals adapt to their environment.

The tours are designed to be entertaining and educational, not scary. They are approximately 1.5 hours long. Enjoy refreshments and crafts around the campfire. The program is under cover in case of rain, but dress for the weather.

Space is limited and pre-registration is highly recommended; walk-ins will be accepted as space allows but cannot be guaranteed a tour. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The cost is $11 per person for members, and $16 per person for non-members. Admission is free for children under the age of 2.
