NJ Mayors Want Murphy To Reopen Indoor Malls, Shopping Centers
A group of New Jersey mayors have formed a coalition in hopes of persuading Gov. Phil Murphy to reopen indoor malls. Woodbridge Mayor John E. McCormac is helming the coalition of mayors, all of whom have large indoor mall and shopping centers in their municipalities. All New Jersey malls and shopping centers closed on March 17 due to the coronavirus outbreak. On May 18, the state allowed non-essential retail stores to offer curbside pickup. Bergen County Malls Ordered Shut
Bergen County malls were ordered shut in an executive order announced Monday. Bergen County Executive James Tedesco in a tense meeting ordered "all worldly business" come to a halt by 11 p.m. Tuesday. "This is about saving lives," Tedesco said. Amazon Stores Coming To Willowbrook, American Dream Malls
Brick-and-mortar Amazon stores are set to open in two North Jersey malls. The retail Goliath will open 4-Star shops at American Dream in East Rutherford and Willowbrook in Wayne. Amazon 4-Star shops will carry "customer favorites" and top-selling items as well as new and trending items. Everything in stock will have a minimum rating of 4-stars. The stores are expected to open within the year.

American Dream: Confirmed Stores For Bergen County's Newest Mega Mall
Several stores have been confirmed for Bergen County's newest mega mall "American Dream." Currently under construction in East Rutherford, the mall is expected to open in Spring 2019. Bergen County's First Lands End To Open In Paramus
Lands End will open its first Bergen County location at Bergen Town Center. There is no timetable of when the American clothing company will open at the Paramus mall. Its only other North Jersey location is in Jersey City. Meanwhile, construction continues making way for other new additions including a Burlington discount department store, Express clothing store and a two-level parking structure. Last Look Inside Garden State Plaza J.C. Penney; Store Closing Saturday
J.C. Penney at Westfield's Garden State Plaza was nearly empty Friday evening. Shoppers hoping to snag one last item lingered near the entrances, picking through markdown items on the remaining few racks. J.C. Penney began closing stores across the U.S. in 2014. The store will close Saturday after more than 60 years at the mall.
