Senate Totally OK With Making Daylight Saving Time Permanent, Are You? (
Poll
)
Members of the US Senate unanimously passed a bill appropriately called "The Sunshine Protection Act" that would do away with "springing ahead" and "falling back." The vote went down Tuesday, March 15 — less than 48 hours after the clocks skipped ahead. So, are you in? (Story continues after poll). If the legislation passes the House and gets President Biden's stamp of approval, it would go into effect November 2023. The bill was introduced by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), and backed by Dems Ron Wyden of Oregon, and Ed Markey of Massachusetts. Markey and Rubio argue in an Op-Ed on daylight sa…

Son Of Notorious Player In Giuliani, Trump Scandal Is Leading Pro-Ukraine Influencer On TikTok
Let's get one thing straight: Aaron Parnas is not his dad. The 22-year-old, who completed law school at George Washington University, has become a top news source on the Russian-Ukrainian war. He posts his content to TikTok, and was among a handful of influencers invited to a White House press briefing on the Russian invasion — specifically for TikTokers — to help combat misinformation about the war. Meanwhile, his dad, Lev Parnas, played a key role in former President Trump's campaign in pressuring Ukraine into finding damaging information on then-rival and former Vice President Joe Biden…

Russian Invasion Of Ukraine Means Higher NJ Gas Prices
“Pain at the pump,” was a concern reporters pushed President Biden on during a press conference about the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Thursday. Although Biden urged the energy sector to not move prices, experts say the US is already feeling the pinch since tensions began to escalate between the two nations. “Any disruptions to oil flows from Russia in a context of low spare capacity in other regions could easily send oil prices to $120 (a barrel),” Natasha Kaneva, JPMorgan’s head of global commodities strategy, wrote in a report published earlier in February. Gas prices had already t…

The results led a former chief medical officer of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy to urge Washington to "attack fentanyl overdoses with the same vigor and approaches as we do the coronavirus." Bipartisan leaders including former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge and former CIA Directo…

'We Need More Time On The Clock': Murphy Won't Be Ditching Face Masks So Soon
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy proved he isn't a follower. While state leaders in Connecticut, New York, Delaware and Pennsylvania are allowing fully-vaccinated individuals to ditch face masks inside in accordance with the CDC's new guidelines, Murphy says "not yet." "This is not forever and always," the governor said during Monday's COVID-19 press conference. "We just need more time on the clock." Citing Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief medical adviser to President Biden, Murphy said that the premature, widespread removal of mask mandates especially indoors could reignite the virus. There…

As the number of unruly airline passengers -- and notable incidents -- continues to grow, the FAA announced that it's doubling down on its zero-tolerance COVID mask policy. “The policy directs our safety inspectors and attorneys to take strong enforcement action against any passenger who disrupts or threatens the safety of a flight, with penalties ranging from fines to jail time,” FAA Administrator Steve Dickson said. “The number of cases we’re seeing is still far too high and it tells us urgent action continues to be required," he said. Since December, the Federal Aviation Administration …
