DEMAREST, N.J. -- Nine students from Northern Valley Regional High School at Demarest competed in the State Career Development Conference in February.

Three students placed high enough in state competition to qualify for the finals round and received a medal for their outstanding achievement: Veer Shah, Sean Costa, and Roey Rozen.

Each student also received trophies for the highest score in the written events or role-plays.

To qualify for competition, students had to place in the top of their category at the regional competition, held on January 6, 2016 at Ramapo College.
