Cresskill Students Perform Well On Parcc, Officials Say

CRESSKILL, N. J. -- Cresskill school officials said they were not surprised that students scored higher than state averages in many areas in last spring's first-ever Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers testing in schools, NorthJersey.com is reporting.

Alison Angrisani, principal of the middle school/high school, said Cresskill students were well prepared for the exam, which rates performance on a five-point scale. A score of five means performance exceeds expectations, NorthJersey.com says.

In several areas, students scored above state averages, with the margin being higher for certain subjects or grade levels. Officials said they expected the dip in scores in middle school math, NorthJersey.com reports.
