Among those attending funerals Wednesday and Thursday -- along with a memorial Thursday evening -- were members of Northern Valley PBA Local 233, which includes officers from Closter, Harrington Park, Northvale and Norwood (CLICK ABOVE to watch a slide show of photos).

Paramus also sent six officers, Englewood two and Alpine and Tenafly one each -- among others from Bergen and Passaic.

"That was the most people I've seen in a police funeral in my life," Norwood Police Sgt. Paul Kapu told Daily Voice. "They came from all over the United States. It showed the solidarity not just of police in this country but citizens, as well."

"The outpouring from the people of Dallas was humbling," PBA Local 233 President Reggie Parsells said.

A local restaurant gave officers half-price dinners after discovering who they are.

"The people of Dallas have been so open and welcoming to us," Parsells said.

Various officers attended two funerals on Wednesday and one Thursday. Some will say for a fourth on Friday and a fifth Saturday.

All of the North Jersey officers are staying at a Dallas Hilton.

"We pulled it all together Monday night, contacting other officers from the area we knew were going," Kapu said. "We stayed at the same hotel so we could all be together."
