FDU Graduate Kerri Fernley, 26, 'Lived With So Much Love'

Dover native Kerri E. Fernley died suddenly on Jan. 25 at home. She was 26 years old.

Kerri graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University of Teaneck with a B.A. in forensic psychology and a minor in criminal justice in 2014. She was a member of the Alpha Sigma Tao Sorority.

She enjoyed hiking, yoga and reading (particularly "Harry Potter") -- her passions animals, family and friends, her obituary says.

"She loved helping others and would go out of her way to help anyone, anytime of the day and touched so many lives," according to the obit. "She lived with so much love in her heart."

Kerri was predeceased by her step-sister Quinn C. Bolton. She is survived by her father Kevin Fernley and wife Wendy Fernley; mother Lisa Bolton and husband John Bolton; brother Kevin C. Fernley; step-siblings; step-siblings: Kenneth and Kirsten Franciscovich and Jamie Bolton.

She is also survived by her maternal grandparents, Jerry and Carol Giuliani.

Visitation will be Jan. 30 from 3 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 8 p.m., at the Bermingham Funeral Home in Wharton. A funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kerri’s memory to Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Intervention.
