The event on Saturday in CityCenter offered families a safe spot for trick-or-treating.
“My son really enjoyed coming out today for the trick or treating event. We come each year and it’s always a lot of fun,” said Natalie Espinola
Goodie bags were handed out to the first 500 costumed children to turn out on the Green. There were also contests to guess the number of candy corns in a jar or the weight of a pumpkin.
In addition, there were various games and music for the kids to enjoy. Popcorn and drinks were provided for an on-the-spot treat.
“This was truly a fun event for my kids, and they were able to spend time with their friends as well,” said Mallory O’Rory.
The highlight of the event was the costume parade, as the kids strutted their stuff in a walk around the green to show off their costumes. Prizes were given out for the most original, scariest, cutest and funniest costumes.
The event was sponsored by Kiwanis of Danbury, Danbury Jaycees, and CityCenter Danbury.
