Daily Voice Year In Review: Wayne Couple Creates Christmas Magic

Daily Voice this week is running down some of the top stories of 2015, leading up to the most popular on Thursday.  Here is one of the stories that we loved this year.

WAYNE, N.J. — Rich and Gina Martorana decorate their Wayne home for most holidays, but Christmas is extra special.

Earlier this month Daily Voice profiled the couple, who display approximately 50 inflatables at their home at 396 Fairfield Road. The winter wonderland is complete with a 15-foot Santa, a 20-foot snowman and hundreds of sparkly lights.

The two share it all on Facebook for everyone to see.

"When we made the [Facebook] page, my husband was even saying we were expecting a few hundred likes," Gina Martorana told Daily Voice.

"The Facebook page has 1,040 likes. We were amazed with the outcome and all the positive responses."

The Martoranas have been decorating the home since 2013. The Valentine's Day and Halloween decorations are almost as extravagant as Christmas — but not quite.

Inflatables go up by 8 a.m., followed by the lights at 4 p.m. — which remain on until 1 a.m. Everything will stay up and in all its glory until a week after Christmas.

The unseasonably warm weather has brought even more success to the couple's display this year, Gina Martorana said.
