E-Bike Rider, 21, Seriously Hurt In Crash Near Edgewater's SoJo Spa Club: Police
A 21-year-old man was seriously hurt in an electric dirt e-bike crash in Edgewater early Sunday morning, July 13, police said. The crash happened around 3:37 a.m. near 725 River Road (SoJo Spa Club), according to Edgewater Police Chief Donald Martin. Officers found the man with significant injuries from the crash. Cliffside Park EMS and paramedics from Englewood Hospital treated him at the scene before taking him to Hackensack University Medical Center's trauma unit, Martin said. SoJo Masseur Sexually Assaults Woman During Massage, Prosecutor Says
A Teaneck man was arrested after authorities say he sexually assaulted a woman while giving her a massage at a Bergen County spa. Dong H. Oh, 55, of Teaneck, digitally penetrated the woman's vagina during a massage on Tuesday, June 3 at the SoJo Spa Club in Edgewater, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Daily Voice. Oh was arrested on Wednesday, July 2 in Edgewater on charges of second-degree sexual assault. SoJo Spa Reopening With These Restrictions
SoJo Spa Club is reopening next month after four months of being closed to COVID-19. The Edgewater spa -- whose crown jewel is its infinity pool on the eighth level -- will be open with new restrictions Aug. 4. Capacity has been reduced to 25 percent or less, and reduced hours of 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Spots can be reserved online. Weekdays are $75 a person for the day and weekends are $85. A valet was behind the wheel of a slow-moving car that struck and killed a 63-year-old Palisades Park woman in the parking garage of an Edgewater spa, authorities said early Wednesday. A woman was killed in an Edgewater parking garage Sunday night after she was pinned beneath a slow-moving car, authorities said. The incident occurred around 8 p.m. on the third level of the SOJO Spa Club on River Road, Police Chief Donal Martin said. Responding officers lifted the car off her and administered aid before Edgewater EMS took her to nearby Palisades Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 8:42 p.m., Martin said.
