Miss New Jersey Follows Yellow Brick Road To Lodi LODI, N.J.– The yellow brick road leads to the Lodi Memorial Library on Sept. 29 when Miss New Jersey celebrates the 116th anniversary of "The Wizard of Oz" novel.An excerpt of the book will be read before a Q&A session and book signing with Brenna Weick, 22. Weick will perform her version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" from the musical. The 1939 MGM "Wizard of Oz" film will be screened afterward. St. Joseph Soccer Team Donates $1,000 To Athlete With Leukemia SADDLE BROOK, N.J.– It wasn't the result of the St. Joseph Regional and Saddle Brook High School boys' soccer scrimmage that mattered. It was a show of solidarity by the players and staff of the Montvale parochial. Ridgefield Park Soccer Association Seeks Volunteers For Street Fair RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J.– The Ridgefield Park Soccer Association is seeking volunteers for the upcoming village street fair Sept. 17. Volunteers would work the booth, handing out information and selling association merchandise. The booth will be located in front of IGA Supermarket on Main Street. Rutherford Student Represents U.S. At Annual International Youth Gathering RUTHERFORD, N.J.– A Rutherford High School senior was one of three students chosen to represent the United States at a Los Angeles gathering.Charles Binder was picked by the USA Section of the International Police Association for the International Youth Gathering. Edgewater Officials Seek Volunteers For Fifth Annual Coastal Clean Up Event EDGEWATER, N.J.– Edgewater's Mayor and Council are inviting the community to join in the fifth annual Coastal Clean Up Day on Sept. 17.
