“It didn’t appear to be isolated or targeted to any specific residence or apartment complex,” Police Chief Martin Kahn said. “Several vehicles were in private driveways of private homes and others were parked on the street.”

The vandalism spree ran from around 3 a.m. to 6 a.m. on Shaler, Hamilton and Wilson avenues, Kahn said.

“We’re asking for cooperation from area residents who may have surveillance that we can review,” the chief said. “Even Ring or Nest cameras/doorbells that may have been activated may provide us a lead.”

“Crimes like this cannot be tolerated and take as much priority on our investigations as more serious crimes,” he said.
