Hawthorne Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charges

HAWTHORNE, N.J. -- An investigation by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office has led to the arrest of a Hawthorne man on child pornography charges.

Authorities arrested Matthew Kneis, 34, Sept. 23 and charged him with seven counts of possessing child pornography and six counts of distributing the illicit images, Sheriff Richard Berdnik said in a statement, according to nj.com.

Passaic County Sheriff’s officers recovered about 50 child pornography files from Kneis’ residence after it was determined he was using his computer to receive and send the lewd photos, police said.
