A tractor-trailer burst into flames on the New Jersey Turnpike in Ridgefield Park early Tuesday afternoon
Southbound traffic was backed up for miles as firefighters doused the flames. Meanwhile, rubberneckers thickened the northbound side.
Plumes of black smoke could be seen for miles.
There was no immediate word on injuries.
