George S. Krivy, 87, Fairview Resident

FAIRVIEW, N.J. – George S. Krivy, of Fairview, died Thursday, June 16. He was 87.

He was a scallop cutter and the owner of George Krivy Embroidery Scallop Cutting Company in Fairview for 60 years. He was a pigeon breeder and flyer, a Cadet and member of the Knights of Columbus in Guttenberg.

He was the husband of Arlene R. (Piekarz) Krivy; father of George J. Krivy and his wife, Phyllis, James Krivy, Diana Fontana and her husband, Anthony, the late Arlene Lotito and her husband, Vincent, and the late Stephen Krivy his wife, Camile; grandfather of eight; great-grandfather of one; brother of John Krivy and his wife, Cathy, and Mary Homa and her husband, William; brother-in-law of Walter Piekarz and his wife, Stella, and the late John Piekarz;. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visiting hours will take place from 4-8 p.m. Monday at the McCorry Brothers Funeral Home, 780 Anderson Ave., Cliffside Park .The funeral will take place at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday at the McCorry Brothers Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Roman Catholic Church in Fairview. Interment will follow at Madonna Cemetery in Fort Lee.
