CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- Antigone Michaels (nee Papadopoulos), 96, of Cliffside Park, formerly of New York, died Thursday, Oct. 29.
She was a member of the Philoptochos Society of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension in Fariview, a gifted singer, dancer, cook and bingo aficionado. She was the last survivor of seven brothers and sisters.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Gerasimos Spathis and Louis Michaels.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary (nee Spathis ) Allen; a son Andrew Spathis, and his wife Stephanie Ann; and her grandson, John Peter Allen.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Tuesday at the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension in Fairview, with interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
