Man Arrested After Chasing Man With Gun Following Stabbing, Harrisburg Area Police Say

A man was arrested after another man was found stabbed at a reported shots fired incident, according to Lower Paxton Township police.

Police were called to the 6000 block of Willowspring Road for a report of shots fired on Tuesday around 12:53 p.m.

A caller told Emergency Dispatch Services they saw a man with a gun chasing another man while running down the street.

Upon arrival police found a man had been stabbed.

It has not been confirmed if he was the man being chased down the street.

No one was shot.

The stabbing victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Jose Polanco-Rodriguez, 21, of Harrisburg, was identified as a suspect at the scene and was apprehended.

He has been charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and related charges.

He has been remanded to the Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $750,000.00 bail.

His preliminary hearing date is pending at the time of publication.

Polanco-Rodriguez was already charged with multiple drug related offenses at the time of his arrest.
