Bergen Town Center Mall Prepares For Major Makeover

PARAMUS, N.J. -- The Outlets at Bergen Town Center is getting ready for a major makeover, reportedly to add another level to meet the demand for more space from successful outlet businesses, according to NorthJersey.com.

Urban Edge Properties, the company that owns the mall, will spend as much as $130 million in a 200,000-square-foot addition, according to a recent financial filing by the company, reported NorthJersey.com 

The company has not yet submitted plans to Paramus, but people familiar with the project say a third level is planned for the shopping center that is currently 99.9 percent occupied, according to Urban Edge's third-quarter earnings report, said NorthJersey.com.
