FAIRVIEW, N.J. -- Happy birthday to Fairview resident Vicki Genfan. The musician is turning 57 this Wednesday, June 15.
A singer-songwriter and noted guitarist, Genfan has recorded several albums, and has collaborated or been featured on several more. She won "Guitar Player" magazine's Guitar Superstar contest in 2008.
One fellow, reviewing her 2012 album "Up Close & Personal, says, "Her guitar shimmers with a brightness of sound that I hadn't heard for a while. ... When she combines her self-described 'flap tap' style that combines percussion and harmonic elements, the CD is dazzling"
