CLIFTON, N.J.– A Clifton woman was so touched after meeting an ailing 8-year-old girl that she created a GoFundMe campaign to help with the girl's medical bills.

"I recently met the most beautiful and smart little girl I have ever encountered [named] Farida," Dilara Esen wrote. "Like any other little princess, Farida loves Barbie, coloring, singing, and playing dress up."

Farida, whose last name wasn't given, was diagnosed with Type-2 Myopathy, Esen said. Weighing just 31 pounds, "She is very weak, cannot gain muscle mass [and] is unable to walk."

The girl came to the United States from Russia and is staying with her grandmother, according to Esen.

"She needs all the love and support she can get," said Esen, a retail worker.

"We have hired an attorney to get the proper paperwork for Farida to begin homeschooling and proper treatment in the U.S.," Esen said in an update.

Esen is also looking into motorized wheelchairs for Farida "so that she can move around her home without constant assistance."
