BOGOTA, N.J. -- A celebration of life for Jerome Kimbrough -- known for his involvement with the Drum Corps -- will be Friday.
Kimbrough died Dec. 15, one day before his 50th birthday. He didn't have life insurance and his life partner, Michelle Perez, began a GoFundMe campaign to cover costs. The event also will be to thank donors.
In the spirit of his hippie attitude and bohemian beliefs, people are encouraged to wear tie dye to the service.
The location is the William F. Burk Lodge. There won't be a bar, but cups and ice will be provided for those who want to go the BYOB route.
The lodge is at 390 Palisade Ave., Bogota. Attendees may park at the high school at Henry C. Luthin Place and also on the street. The event has secured a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn for that nigh, for $99. Use group code JCL.
