Edgewater Health Department Offers Free Medical Screenings

EDGEWATER, N.J.– The Edgewater Health Department and One Hudson Medical are having a free health fair at the borough's community center from 9 a.m. until noon Sept. 24.

Screenings provided include: 

  • Bone density
  • Blood pressure
  • Diabetes
  • Cardiac
  • Weight loss 
  • Women’s health
  • Vision
  • Dental 

Representatives from the Bergen County Department of Health, Affordable Care, Medicare and others will be present, organizers said. Englewood Hospital & Medical Center, Holy Name Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Center and Hackensack UMC Palisades will participate. 

Blood tests and flu vaccines will be available for adults for a small fee. Free lead blood tests will be available for children 5 and younger. 

Pre-registration is required for flu vaccines and blood tests, organizers said. 

The Community Center is at 1167 River Road, Edgewater.
