Mark Jeffrey Wieland, of the Dennisville section of Dennis Township, was charged with possession of child pornography, according to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland.
This investigation stemmed from a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children CyberTip that revealed an unidentified subject, subsequently identified as Wieland, who downloaded various images of child sexual abuse material, Sutherland said.
On May 30, the investigation was concluded as a result of a warranted search on Wieland’s residence.
Multiple computers and cellphones were seized from the residence pending further analysis.
Weiland was processed and held in the Cape May County Correctional Center.
