Man Shot Dead In Camden: Prosecutor

Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in broad daylight in Camden, authorities said.

Daijohn Spaulding, 21, of Camden was killed in the shooting, according to Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay alongside Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

On Sunday, March 26, 2023, at approximately 2:40 p.m., Camden County police officers responded to the 1400 block of Collings Road in Camden for a ShotSpotter activation.

A victim was found at 3100 Alabama suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers took the victim to Cooper University Hospital. Spaulding was pronounced dead at 3:01 p.m., the prosecutor said.

The investigation is active and ongoing at this time.
