A fund has been launched for the three children who loved ones say witnessed the murder-suicide that killed their 29-year-old mom, Katie Dales, over the weekend in Philadelphia.

Dales was shot multiple times in the head inside an apartment at 100 E. Roosevelt Boulevard around 12:05 a.m. Saturday, May 20, city police said.

The shooter, identified only as a 27-year-old man, suffered a single gunshot wound to the mouth, police said. Both were pronounced dead at the scene just before 12:20 a.m., police said.

Meanwhile, more than $2,100 had been raised on a GoFundMe for Dales' three children as of Sunday morning, May 21.

"Katie was the sweetest kindest big hearted person you'd ever meet," reads the page, launched by Michelle Miz and Jalissa Dales.

"Katie was a carefree soul who loved people deeply and unconditionally. Her last years were troubled but she'd always have a smile and hug ready for all.

Funds will go toward Dales' funeral, and anything left over toward her children, Jayla, Kyro and Meiko.

"Anything left over would go to her children to help cope with the loss of their mother as they witnessed this tragic event," the fund reads. "Please give from your heart. She would surely do the same."

Meanwhile, condolences came pouring in on Facebook.
