A Cadillac was heading south in the right lane of the highway when it struck a Chevrolet Express van in the left lane around 4:40 p.m. in Deptford, New Jersey State Police Trooper Charles Marchan said.
The Cadillac side swiped the van, then traveled off of the roadway to the right and struck a tree. near milepost 55.4, Marchan said.
The Cadillac driver, 31-year-old Nahum Ramirez- Lopez, of Vineland, was pronounced dead.
The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available at the moment.
