Thomas McKenna was heading westbound on the White Horse Pike when his motorcycle struck a pedestrian crossing the street around 7:45 p.m., Lindenwold police said.

McKenna of Collingswood lost control of the bike and struck a car heading eastbound, authorities said.

The 34-year-old Camden pedestrian was hospitalized with serious injuries while the driver of the other vehicle suffered no injuries, but was hospitalized for evaluation.

McKenna's obituary said he was a lifelong Boilermaker and a member of Local 13.

"He was an avid motorcyclist, and loved riding his Harley," it reads.

"Thomas loved spending time with his family, going fishing, going to the beach, and boating."
