Ice and cold, gusty winds. That's what much of the East Coast can look forward to Sunday and Monday, meteorologists are saying.

A flash flood watch is in effect until 1 p.m. Sunday in Bergen and Passaic counties before temperatures nosedive to the mid-20s by late afternoon.

Gusty winds of up to 30 mph, along with possible snow, and ice accumulation may bring down tree limbs and power lines, leading to widespread outages. Wind chill values are expected to be between 10 and 20.

Monday, Martin Luther King Day, will be mostly sunny, icy and frigid, with a high temperature in the lower teens with wind-chill values between -5 and -15 during the day. Winds between 22 and 24 mph with gusts up to 40 mph could cause power outages.

Tuesday, Jan. 22 will be mostly sunny with a high in the upper-20s.
