BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Rosita J. Uy, of Bergenfield, died on Tuesday, Feb. 14. She was 91.
Born in the Philippines, Uly was an elementary school teacher there before she retired. Shen then immigrated to the United States, where she lived with her daughter's family, in Bergenfield.
"She became a huge baseball fan who loved to watch baseball," information from the funeral home noted.
Uly is survived by her children, Russell Uy and his wife Evelyn, Ines Codilla and her husband Leonilo, and Dennis Uy and his wife Dolores; and grandchildren Karlo, Keisha, Kody and Katherina Uy, and John and Illini Rose Codilla.
She was predeceased by her late husband, Jacinto Uy.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, at Boulevard Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1151 River Rd., in New Milford. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday at Saint John the Evangelist Church, in Bergenfield. Cremation will be private.
