BERGENFIELD, N.J. — Bergenfield resident Luigi "Geno" Mintrone died Wednesday, June 1. He was 72.
Born in Corato, Italy, Mintrone moved to Bergenfield in 1968.
Mintrone is survived by his wife of 48 years, Guiseppina Mintrone; his daughter, Angela Armstrong and her husband Frank; his daughter, Michelle Fitzpatrick and her husband John; and his daughter, Mary Rodriguez and her husband Louis; grandchildren, Sarah, Jake, Raven, Marisa, Ashley, Lianna, Domenic and Marc.
Visiting will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Riewerts Memorial Home, 187 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield.
All will gather at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday for the funeral Mass at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, in Bergenfield, with the Mass scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
Entombment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
