NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Eufronio Pongos of New Milford passed away peacefully May 26, 2016 at the age of 84.
Born in Ormoc City, Phillipines, he later moved to Cebu City, where he met and married Federica Sentillas.
Pongos was a supervisor with a furniture manufacturing company before leaving Cebu City to move to the United States.
He is survived by his wife Federica; children Bernadeth Pongos-Silva and her husband Lutgardo, Camilo Pongos, and Dalme Pongos-Legitimas and her husband Apolinar; and grandchildren Monnavi Silva, Eufie Andrews Legitimas and Ciello Andrei Legitimas.
Pongos leaves behind his sisters Carmen Zapanta and Elisa Cuyacot.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a,m. Tuesday in Saint Joseph Church, New Milford/Oradell. Burial to follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
Visiting hours are from 1-4 and 6-9 p.m. Monday at Boulevard Funeral Home & Creation Services, 1151 River Road, New Milford.
