Spice It Up With Latin Dance Classes At Bergenfield Library

BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- In the mood for something new? The Bergenfield Public Library has announced a new evening Latin dance classes for adults, beginning May 5.

"Latin Dancing with Judith Miranda" is a six-week series focusing on a variety of different dancing styles. This beginner's series will teach participants how to merengue, bachata, salsa and cumbia, no partner needed. Miranda was born in Cuba and has been dancing to Latin music since she was 8.

Classes will be Thursday evenings at 7 p.m., beginning on May 5, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. The cost is $10 per class or $50 for the whole series. Participants should wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Those with significant health problems should consult with their doctor before registering.
