Paramus Chamber Educational Foundation Dreams Big At Annual Gala

PARAMUS, N.J. -- The Paramus Regional Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation recently held their 21st Annual Dream Awards Gala at Macaluso's in Hawthorne.

Grants from 2015-2016 were highlighted and the newly approved 2016-2017 grants were distributed for 16 projects submitted from various teachers from all of the Paramus schools totaling $36,594.66. Since mid 1995 the Education Foundation has funded 194 grants totaling $461,504.86.

An additional grant for $6,500 was also announced thanks to a contribution from a good friend of the Education Foundation - The Paramus Noon Rotary Club. There were also two honorees recognized at the event.

The evening's honorees were:

Barbara Vene-Anderson - A Paramus High School Graduate and Ridge Rance Speech Therapist

Peter Raymond Wells - A Paramus High School Graduate and Active Community Leader
