Englewood Nature Center Gets Grants For School Programs

ENGLEWOOD, N.J. -- Two grants totaling $16,000 to supplement education for Englewood students have been awarded to Flat Rock Brook Nature Association.

The two grants are from the Bergen County Division of Community Development and the Watershed Institute, and Time Warner Cable.

The Time Warner Connect a Million Minds program gave Flat Rock Brook $5,000 to support an after-school program for 7th graders from the Janis E. Dismus Middle School called “Spectacular Science.”

The Community Development - Watershed Institute provided $11,261 to fund field trips for 800 students in kindergarten, second and fifth grade in the Englewood public school district, and also the Englewood on the Palisades Charter School.
