BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- The Volunteer Ambulance Corps of Bergenfield collected 43 pints of blood at a drive held Tuesday. The blood drive was held May 17 in memory of Edward "Ned" Kneisler II. Many people donated food for the event and 48 attempted to donate blood.
The food drive was held to benefit the Bergenfield Food Pantry.
BVAC holds annual blood drives to honor past members. Last year's drive was for Martin Fullgrabe.
