BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- The Bergenfield Public Library is set to host a six-week Latin dance series led by Cuban-born Judith Miranda, a performer and dancer since the age of 8.
According to a statement from the library, the dance series is a beginner's guide to dances like the merengue, bachata, salsa and cumbia. New dancers and singles ages 18 and older are welcome to attend.
The dance classes are expected to start at 7 p.m. on May 5. The cost is $10 per class or $50 for the entire six-week series.
All who attend are urged to wear comfortable clothing and bring plenty of water. Those with health problems should consult with a doctor before registering for the classes.
Staff at the 50 W. Clinton Ave. library urge all who are interested in the dance classes to register at the library's checkout desk. Full payment and the signing of a health waiver are required at the time of registration.
