Douglas W. Nutt, 62, of Upper Pittsgrove, died at the crash scene on Shirley Road after being struck by Deandra L. Brown Palmer, of Swedesboro, around 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, according to two affidavits of probable cause and New Jersey State Police. Corrections Officer Accepted Money In South Jersey Jail-Smuggling Scheme: Prosecutors An Atlantic County corrections officer was among three people accused of a scheme to smuggle contraband into the county's jail, authorities said. In a news release, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said 33-year-old Christopher Piccioni of Swedesboro was charged on Monday, May 20. Piccioni is an officer at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. The county prosecutor's office said it learned in January about contraband being smuggled into the jail in Mays Landing. She was 56 years old. A devoted mother, Pamela's greatest joy was her two daughters, Alexandria and Sarah Marr, her obituary said. Pamela's faith was an integral part of her life. As a member of Wiley Church in Marlton, she found strength and fellowship, her obit said. On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Swedesboro resident Noah Hess was sentenced subject to the No Early Release Act, whereby the defendant must serve 85% of his sentence prior to becoming eligible for parole, according to the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office. Swedesboro police responded to Wilshire Boulevard about 10 a.m., according to initial reports. An unconfirmed report said that a 2-year-old boy was bleeding from the mouth.
