The home of an actress famous in the 1800s has hit the real estate market at nearly $3.5 million. The waterfront home in Lake Hopatcong has been renovated over the years, was at one point home to Lotta Crabtree, according to its Zillow listing. Crabtree was "the most celebrated actress in America during the California gold rush," and used the Edgemere Avenue home as her summer house near Hotel Breslin, Prominent Properties listing agent Robin Dora writes. Saddle Brook Officer Charged With DWI, Leaving Scene Of Late-Night Crash
An off-duty Saddle Brook police officer was drunk when he fled the scene of a utility pole crash a few blocks from his home, authorities charged. Attilio Dente Sr., 39, had to be separated from an unidentified person he was arguing with when township officers showed up at his home around 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, an accident report obtained by Daily Voice says. Harmful Algae Blooms Found In These New Jersey Lakes
Harmful algal blooms have been reported in 32 lakes across the state as of Sept. 1 -- and some are calling for action. In total, two lakes were at a red “warning” level, 20 were orange “advisory” level and 10 were at a blue “watch” level (scroll down for the breakdown).
