Atlantic City police seek the public's help in locating an 18-year-old fugitive wanted in connection with a shooting last fall.
An investigation conducted by detectives of the Violent Crimes Unit led to Yasin Sanders being criminally charged for his involvement in a shooting Sanders has not been arrested and is being sought, according to Lt. Kevin Fair, a spokesman for the Atlantic City Police Department.
On Oct. 23 at 9:45 p.m,, patrol officers responded to the 400 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard in reference to a ShotSpotter alert. An investigation found that there were two handguns fired during the incident. One by Sanders and another by a juvenile. The 15-year-old boy from Bridgeton in Cumberland County already is in custody on an unrelated matter and was served his charges, Lt. Fair said.
Sanders has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, conspiracy and weapons offenses, police said.
