16-Year-Old Shot In Camden County

A 16-year-old boy was shot in Camden County over the weekend, authorities said.

The shooting was reported at 11:21 p.m. Saturday, according Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Voorhees Police Chief Louis Bordi.

A Voorhees police officer was approached by a group of passengers who said a shooting victim was inside their vehicle. The boy was taken to an area hospital for treatment, where he remained on Sunday.

The teenager was shot on Franklin Drive in Voorhees.

No arrests had been made.  Detectives continue to search for potential witnesses and information that could help determine what led to the shooting, Mayer and Bordi said.
