In September 2022, following a six-day jury trial, Kye Hardison of Camden was convicted by an Atlantic County jury.

The jury convicted Hardison of sexual assault, burglary and aggravated sexual assault.

On the first-degree aggravated sexual assault charge, an ordinary term of imprisonment is between 10 to 20 years, the Atlantic County prosecutor said.

However, due to Hardison’s extensive criminal history, and the particularly egregious nature of the July 2020 sexual assault, the State sought an extended prison term at his sentencing on Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Hardison must serve 85% of the 54 years before becoming eligible for parole. Upon release, Hardison would be subject to Megan’s Law and Parole Supervision for Life.

The case was investigated by the Atlantic City Police Department with the assistance of the Claridge security team and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
