At 6:35 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15,  Herbert Nelson, 37, was found selling from his personal vehicle on a city street, they said.

Officer John Bell was patrolling the area of Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall when he observed a vehicle blocking the crosswalk in the 100 block of south Mississippi Avenue.

Bell observed the vehicle had insignia written on the exterior openly advertising the sale of marijuana and marijuana products, police said.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of approximately 3.7 pounds of marijuana and marijuana-related products in various forms, police said. Herbert was taken into custody without incident.

Nelson was charged with the possession of more than six ounces of marijuana, its distribution and money laundering, police said.

Herbert was released on a summons pending a future court date.
