Roadwork To Begin In Montgomery County, Officials Say Drivers are advised to expect possible delays as roadwork begins in Lower Gwynedd this week.  Crews will be at work at the intersection of Bethlehem Pike, Sumneytown Pike, and Norristown Road near Spring House Tavern, according to township police.  Work will begin on Wednesday, July 17, and continue through Friday, July 19, officials said. Crews will work from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and then again from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  The project will include roadway milling, paving, and temporary line striping, they added.

NJ Man Fatally Shot While Sitting In Car: Philadelphia PD A 38-year-old man was shot and killed in his car in West Philadelphia on Monday evening, July 15, according to city police.  Ardi Torollari of Northfield, New Jersey was shot in the chest while sitting in his Volkswagen on the 200 block of South 54th Street, investigators said in a release.  Torollari was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries around 6:10 p.m., authorities said. Woman Dies After Fall From Golf Cart In Monroe County: Coroner A West Virginia woman died after falling from a golf cart in Middle Smithfield, according to the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.  Brenna Abbinanti, 35, of Mount Clare, died from blunt-force trauma to the head on Friday, July 12, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, officials said.  The accident happened a week earlier on Saturday morning, July 6, on the 6000 Block of Timothy Lake Road, according to the coroner. She was reportedly a passenger in the golf cart.  Pennsylvania State Police are investigating, the Coroner's Office added.

Girl Shot Dead Inside Philadelphia Apartment: Homicide Detectives A 17-year-old girl was found dead of a gunshot wound on Monday morning, July 15, Philadelphia police say.  Officers responded to a home on the 5900 block of Chancellor Street around 9 a.m., PPD said in a release. Lehigh Coroner Seeks Next Of Kin For New Jersey Woman Officials are looking for the loved ones of a New Jersey woman who died on Friday, July 12.  Shirley J. Smith, 77, of Belvidere, broke her right femur in a fall and died from complications at St. Luke's University Hospital in Bethlehem, said the Lehigh County Coroner's Office.
