Scooter Rider From DC Killed In Maryland Crash With Car, Police Say

A District man was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Maryland after his scooter collided with a car during the evening commute, police said.

Jerome Marshall, 60, died Tuesday, April 15, after the crash on Rhode Island Avenue in Brentwood, according to the Prince George’s County Police Department.

Officers were called to the 4500 block of Rhode Island Avenue around 6:10 p.m. for reports of a crash involving a scooter and another vehicle.

Marshall was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The other driver was not injured, authorities said.

Investigators said the crash happened in the northbound lanes of Rhode Island Avenue. The exact cause remains under investigation.

Police confirmed that the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is handling the case.
