Second Baltimore DPW Employee Dies While On Duty, Department Confirms For the second time in three months, a member of the Baltimore City Department of Public Works has died on the job, authorities announced. Timothy Cartwell, a solid waste worker assigned to the Reedbird Sanitation Yard died on Friday morning after sustaining critical injuries while collecting trash in an alleyway in the 1800 block of Baker Street. Glen Burnie resident Trevor Garrett Taylor was sentenced on Friday to three years in jail for manslaughter following the grisly attack of Christopher Wright outside his Brooklyn Park home that resulted in his death.
