Deputy’s Instinct Leads To $117K Recovery At Maryland Park N' Ride: Sheriff Proactive policing paid off in Frederick County when a deputy’s sharp instincts led to the recovery of four stolen Honda CR-Vs valued at over $117,000. The Frederick County Sheriff's Office announced that Deputy First Class (Dfc.) Bittenmaster was patrolling near the Monrovia Park N' Ride on Baldwin Road at around 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 21 when a suspiciously parked white 2023 Honda CR-V caught his eye. After confirming the vehicle had been reported stolen, Dfc. Bittenmaster noticed three other CR-Vs—two blue (2024 and 2025 models) and one black (2024 model)—similarly parked in the lot.  A…
