A high-speed chase involving a stolen car in Maryland escalated dangerously Monday night when the driver rammed a Virginia State Police vehicle, sending the trooper into a power pole and downing live wires across Route 1, officials said. An impatient driver on I-95 in Prince George's County led to the fiery death of two people overnight, Maryland State Police say. Silver Spring resident Michael Daniel, 24, was driving in the right lane of the interstate near Route 212 when he attempted to pass a tractor-trailer that was in front of him, setting off a chain-reaction crash. Maryland Couple Killed In NJ Crash
An elderly pair from Maryland was killed in a crash Tuesday evening, June 13 in Highland Park, authorities said. A Mercedes driven by Abeer Viriani, 34, of Iselin, struck a Subaru occupied by Peter Palmer, 75, of Easton, MD, and Carol Paul, 77, of Easton, MD, around 5:30 p.m. at Route 27 and North 10 Street, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said.
